I love Tulum so Matcha 🍵💘💞 To be completely honest, I had avoided coming to Tulum for quite a while because of all the articles I had read on how tourism is destroying the ecosystem. With all the hype surrounding this magical place I finally caved. It’s easy to see why everyone has fallen in love with this place. It’s truly magical
Before visiting, I did make a promise to myself that I would be a sustainable traveler to the best of my ability. I did this by using as little, single use items as possible, really cutting down on my water and electricity usage (I didn’t blow dry my hair once 🙋🏼♀️) and picking up garbage that I passed by on the beach or street. Sometimes it’s the little things.
Did you know that this is the fruit that creates your beloved chocolate? This sweet treat in my opinion tastes just like a Kenap. I had the opportunity to visit @belmontestate
in Grenada and tour their chocolate factory. I walked the cocoa and indulged in some free samples. Headed to Grenada? Click the link in my bio and read more about my favorite things to do there! #PureGrenada
Tequila, my old friend. I’ll always love you. I might not see you very often, or talk about you anymore. But you’ll always have a place in my heart! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
One of my absolute favourite parts of our 5 month trip to Mexico last year was visiting TEQUILA. I felt like all my dreams had come true! Yes we took the baby, and yes we felt like the most responsible parents going as we pushed our stroller around the distilleries 😜 But it was such an interesting day, full of all the good bits Mexico has to offer... good food, beautiful quaint towns, sunshine, and TEQUILA! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
When we were in #SanLuisPotosi
we found a great little Mezcal bar called The Piqueria Mezcaleria which you absolutely have to visit if you head there. It had the most incredible Mezcal cocktails on the menu 😋 (all Tequila is Mezcal but only those made in Tequila can have the name... in case you’re confused 🤷🏼♀️)
Anyone else a tequila fan?
because I have a headache, I'm knackered and I'm in bed before 8. Again.
I was chatting to a friend about travelling with kids at the weekend and she said something that really rang true for me, "I'm the weakest link " ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anaïs took the plane in her stride, coped with the hustle and bustle of an Indian market and the heat and lack of schedule like an absolute trooper. I was the weakest link. I made the run up to flying hellish and tense & I genuinely spend a lot of the flight in TEARS. Seriously. Anaïs was comforting me at one point 😆
Anyway. In lieu of a blog post about it all, here's a pic of my little traveller in her nappy covered in sand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Piece of haven • Finland 🇫🇮 • Lapland • Dream Land
Too many good things to focus on ✨
A once in a lifetime experience 💙❄️ Would you experience that?
What’s a three day weekend without an adventure? 💫
Ma la bellezza di queste super giornate di sole a Milano? A me basta un attimo per dire addio a sciarpone e piumini ed entrare totalmente nel mood primaverile 🙊
Back in the big smoke 💨 🇬🇧
Do you see in color or black and white?
For me, the more color the better! However, there is something majestic about black & white!
Either way, the world is beautiful no matter how it’s seen!🌎💙
Dropped by the fantastic Rainbow Waterfalls just before heading out to Auckland - and the view was otherworldly ✨🌿 How is your week going? 💛
What’s the most important time of your day? 😊
For me it’s definitely my morning when I walk or sit down with a journal and set intentions for the day - not only what I want to do (those to-do lists are never ending!) but also what I want to be - strong, kind, compassionate or relaxed. It helps me go through my day with so much more focus ✨
Can you spot the little house on the hill? 😊
The whole time I was standing at the waterfall I was wishing I lived there 😃
I am officially in love with Far North 💛 Everything here is so lush! ✨
These are the incredible Haruru Falls just 3 minutes away from Paihia, Bay of Islands✨
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Eleanor Roosevelt 💕
Found myself on the beach with this quote in my head this morning and it made me think about my dreams for this year. I feel like January was such a whirlwind and my year 2019 is only just starting now as things begin to slow down after the big move 😊
Dreams can be such a powerful force to drive us forward (in a good way) and I feel like I need to remember mine and think of those small steps that can bring them closer to me each day ✨
The Auckland anniversary weekend has just passed - we spent it on the road exploring one of the places nearby, the charming Tauranga ✨
I want to post more photos but too busy enjoying the surroundings 😃
I am still amazed how beautiful the summer is here 😊
Hope you all have a lovely week! 💛
A postcard from Auckland 💛
While I am a bit overwhelmed by our move to the other side of the globe, I am also absolutely stunned by the beauty of New Zealand 😊 It’s summer here and it’s just lovely! Can’t wait to share more of all the things we see and do here 💛
