I've talked about my WHY a few times.
Why did I become a coach? 3 main reasons.
1. It gives me the possibility of being able to quit my day job in the future to be able to raise my own children. The possibility of financial freedom and giving my kids the best future I can. Not having to work to make someone else rich. To be with my family. Being able to buy groceries without setting a spending limit.
2. Being a coach keeps me accountable. If I dont show up everyday and share with all of you my workouts, nutrition, and progress, then how will I inspire and motivate those who sign up with me. Plus I dont get paid haha.
3. Having access to all the nutrition programs have helped me develop healthy habits. I found a healthy relationship with food which I have never found before. Always under or over eating, never knowing what to put in my body.

Mature relationships are a result of good communication. Finding comfort in sitting down with your partner to define your problems and discuss the solution, is a win-win situation.
Put your ego aside, it is not about asking for permission, though nothing is wrong with that. Choosing the right time to communicate with your partner guarantees you will be heard and get the answers you're looking for.

You are NEVER going to be ready!
There is NEVER going to be a perfect day. .
How many times do you say or hear “I’ll start my diet Monday” or “I’ll find my dream job this year.” And before you know it time passes and nothing has changed. The diet never started. The dream job never came.
We are the ONLY person in charge of the change we need in our life. And sometimes I think we get stuck on “one day” and forget ANY DAY can be “day one.” .
Truth is, if you want something bad enough you will make it happen. Whatever it is you want to do, it starts with getting out do your comfort zone. It might take hard work, blood, sweat, and tears, and TIME, but the sooner you start, the sooner you will succeed.
One of the many lessons I’ve learned in the gym, outside the gym, in my healthcare, in my job, in my relationships, and just life in general.. is sometimes we sit around waiting.. .

What Happens When You Don’t Make The Team?
At the beginning of any sports season thousands of athletes are trying out for teams, all over the country. There are many that are overcome with joy in making the cut and getting on their respective teams. For the number of athletes that “make it” there are much more that get “cut” or as the more modern term today, get “released” from the team. This article will present some tips for athletes and parents on how to deal with getting released.
Most successful people in life will often tell you how they have been rejected time and time again, but stayed persistent and resilient only to achieve success. In sports 2 notable examples come to mind, 1) Michael Jordan, one of the all-time best players in the NBA was cut from his high school basketball team as a sophomore and 2) Joe Sakic didn’t make his Midget A1 team at Burnaby Minor, he stayed with it. Eventually he was Stanley Cup winner with the Colorado Avalanche and an NHL great. Sports as in life is full of ups and downs, they will happen, it is how we react and learn from the rollercoaster that counts most.
First let us look at being released from a team from the athlete’s perspective:
Tryouts are stressful for anyone of any age. You may be tired from school and being under the microscope and evaluated every practise and game is not easy. Often tryouts last for a short period and this period may not be the best time for you. All of a sudden, you find out that you did not make the team. Whether the coach spoke to you, you found out from a list or you found out on line. You worked hard to make this team and it did not happen. You are devastated, it hurts, your feelings are hurt and it may seem to be the end of the world. Do not despair! Here are some valuable tips for you:
1) DO NOT KEEP IT INSIDE – The worst thing you can do is keep your emotions bottled up inside. It is important for you to let your feelings be heard. Call someone that you can trust and is supportive of your eff

6️⃣ Single arm nautilus preacher curl 8-12/12-15
7️⃣ Incline supination curls (isometric holds) 2x 5-5-5-5

1️⃣ Eat lots... then even more! - You could be the hardest worker in the room, but if you aren’t eating big, you may as well not be there at all. When it comes to strength, getting the calories in should be your number one priority. If you think you’ve ate enough, eat some more
2️⃣ Own the BIG 4 - Squat, Bench, Deadlift & Press. These should be the main exercises for your sessions and are the core foundations of building strength. These 4 exercises are also transferred to your daily tasks you do every day; pushing, pulling, jumping and picking stuff up from the floor
3️⃣ Consistency - Changing plan or starting over to many times with massively halt your strength gains. Start a plan (12 weeks minimum) and be consistent with it from start to end. You won’t get any stronger/better by switching plans every week
4️⃣ Never miss a rep - How do we get stronger? By hitting rep after rep after rep. Programme some of your training with sub maximal training to enable you to keep on hitting the reps day after day. You don’t get stronger by missing reps!
5️⃣ Maintain a log - Keep a book with you when you train and note down EVERYTHING. Reps, sets, weight, even how you’re feeling during the session and what you’ve ate beforehand. Having this will give you a clear sign of progression, and also a clear vision of what weight to hit in the next session

O que há por trás do aumento de casos de doença mental?
Pesquisadores apontaram para dois prováveis culpados. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Uso Excessivo de Tecnologia Estar conectado aos nossos smartphones não está ajudando nossa saúde mental. Vários estudos descobriram que o uso pesado de mídias sociais está associado a um risco maior de ansiedade e depressão, solidão, sentimentos de isolamento, problemas de auto-estima e pensamentos suicidas. Em um estudo os pesquisadores descobriram que aqueles que tinham menos tempo na tela e mais tempo com os amigos eram mais felizes do que aqueles que passavam mais tempo na internet, jogando Vídeo game, usando as mídias sociais, mensagens de texto, bate-papo por vídeo ou assistindo à TV. Outro estudo de 2018 descobriu que quando estudantes universitários limitavam o tempo de mídia social a 30 minutos por dia durante três semanas, eles relataram reduções significativas na depressão e solidão, e menos ansiedade e FOMO (ou “medo de perder”). O vício em tecnologia é real e os adolescentes são particularmente vulneráveis a ele. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Falta de sono
O sono é vital para a saúde mental e os adolescentes precisam de mais do que os adultos. Para uma função cognitiva ideal, os adolescentes precisam de cerca de 8 a 10 horas de sono por noite, mas menos de 9% estão obtendo o sono adequado. A pesquisa encontrou uma ligação entre a falta de sono adequado e doença mental em adolescentes. Um estudo que analisou quase 28.000 estudantes do ensino médio encontrou um aumento de 38% nos sintomas de depressão e um aumento de 58% nas tentativas de suicídio para cada hora de sono perdida. E também descobriu que a privação do sono também estava ligada a um aumento de 23% no risco de abuso de substâncias. O vício é frequentemente associado a problemas de saúde mental coexistentes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ O vício em tecnologia e a falta de sono não apenas aumentam o risco de doenças mentais, mas também podem atrapalhar os processos importantes que estão ocorrendo no cérebro adolescente em desenvolvimento.
