Something on my vision board that never got created. It may be a little older model but I got it from a lady I trust who didn't want to part with it except her hands are full with her kiddos and their gear. Excited to play with this. Currently, getting my wanderlust fill at the airport viewing park and playing.
So excited to explore capturing a moment in time. Goal: get good at capturing well on a couple moments in order to enjoy the rest.

Hii friends! I took some time today to identify what is holding me back from my dreams. This is something you really have to dig deep and think about and I’m not even sure that I have an exact answer for you but i’ll share what I came up with.
I have mixed emotions about this topic. Sometimes I think what holds me back is the validation of others. What are people going to say about me? But then sometimes I don’t care at all. Each day it varies. I think most days I’m not worried about other peoples opinions. It’s not the fact that people are talking about my actual dreams, it’s that they are judging the fact that I’m 25 and don’t have it all together. I don’t have a 9-5 job, I am not financially stable, I don’t have my own place, etc. I know someone else’s validation doesn’t define me but those thoughts still linger in the back of my mind.
How will I overcome this? By continuing to put myself out there. I think that by laying it all out on a platform like Instagram helps me get over the fact that people are going to think what they want. I can’t control them. I can only control my own thoughts.
Another factor that hinders me from following my dreams is not putting in enough effort. I know I am not the only one that struggles with this but fear of putting your all into something + failing. But what if you put your all in and you SUCCEED? It’s that what if question that keeps me going. I would rather find out then never know. Ya feel?
If you can relate, I want you to know that you are not alone! Follow your dreams with me and lets find out where they take us! It’s scary, no doubt, but you (I) are bigger than our fears. What do you have to lose?

Koh Phi Phi Don., Thailand. Viewpoint #2
gazing over Loh Dalum Bay (right) & Tonsai Bay (left).
We are staying at the Holiday Inn Resort on the northeast side of the island at Laem Tong Bay. We hiked from the resort to Viewpoint #3
in less than 1.5 hours. The first 45 minutes was on a paved ‘road’ & relatively flat while the second half was a steep climb on a narrow dirt path through the jungle. Great exercise & adventure!
Sunrise hot air balloon ride over Bagan. The bird’s eye view over the countryside with over 2,200 pagodas was amazing & stunningly beautiful. Floating in the sky in the absence of sound was so serene & peaceful. I highly recommend this ‘excursion’. Shout out to @balloonsoverbagan
for an awesome experience & Jason, our pilot, for a smooth flight & landing & for rotating the balloon so all passengers had a spectacular view.
Bagan, Myanmar: the land of a thousand temples. Actually about 2,200 pagodas. My husband & I bicycled around Bagan exploring the pagodas. There are so many different shapes & sizes & in different conditions. In the first photo, the temple complex is the Khe Minga Temple. There are several leaning pagodas due to the earthquake in 1975 which destroyed or damaged many of the pagodas. In the height of the empire during the 9th-13th century, there were 10,000 pagodas. The many earthquakes over the years have destroyed so many of the temples. We immensely enjoyed our adventure, interacting with the locals, the perfect weather, & sampling the vegetarian cuisine.
The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho in Bangkok. At 151 feet long, it’s difficult to get a full length photo of this amazing Buddha image. So this was the first Buddha image I saw on my first day in Bangkok & I was blown away. Totally beyond my expectations & imagination.
Wally’s Cave. Lion’s Head Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa. This was not an easy spot to find. Even though we read several descriptions on how to find the cave, we ended up at an end of a trail at a high cliff & no cave. We took the high road which was the wrong road. On our way back to the main trail, we met up with some hikers who just left Wally’s Cave & showed us the correct path. And to our absolute delight, we made it. What an awesome find! And what an awesome view. Love!
This was my view on an early morning walk along the Cliff Path in Hermanus, South Africa. I was so entranced by the lovely sunrise & the view. This path is famous for land based Southern Right whale sightings. I have to return to this cozy coastal town during whale season (June to December). After this invigorating walk & breakfast, I was off to do some wine tasting at Newton Johnson Vineyards. Yes! The Hemel-en-Arde Valley is definitely Heaven & Earth!
Our view from the top of Lion’s Head in Cape Town, South Africa. Andy and I had been anticipating hiking several of the iconic trails in Cape Town. We decided to tackle Lion’s Head first for the panoramic view of the city from the summit at 669m (~2,200 ft). This trails started off easy and pleasant on a wide dirt path but about two thirds of the way up, it became very challenging. The last part of the trail was more of a climb than a hike. But the views were stunningly beautiful and definitely worth the effort.
A new chapter is about to start. Cheers to a new year, to the dreams that we do not let go without chasing them one last time! Happy New Year folks! Let's make it the happiest one of them all, filled with love, joy, hope, adventure, and new goals to be achieved 🌍🎉 #chasewhatsetsyoursoulonfire #2018ismine
