We love this picture of Fr James Mallon and Fr Mark Hogan outside the beautiful St. Peters’ Church, Winchester! Please pray for the priests of our Church, that they might lead like Jesus did and help to mobilise their parishes to His mission. ‘A priest is a man who offers his whole humanity to God so that God might use him as an instrument of salvation.’ St. Pope John Paul II @divinerenovation #renewal #newevangelization
A Charitable, Certainly Not Curt, Way To Respond To One’s Detractors
Mondback and Wyemond
You raise the mount
I must climb-on
Fervent friends believe
Not in God as I do
You’d even hector //
“Hector Molina” I’d
Persuade you to Google
But like photo fiends
After Prince Harry
You’d rather just
Besiege and harry
Not all is to badger
For I find this fun
To frolic with
My contemptuous few
Like new shoe blisters
Brothers and sisters
For in this I find joy:
To be persecuted
For the Faith like Christ my Lord

What is your deepest desire?
Do you think God wants you to have it?
I think many people believe being holy means being miserable. That God doesn’t give us what we want the most because it’s selfish.
So we run from him to pursue our dreams.
Is that really necessary? Is God’s will found only in what we least desire?
Fr. Michael Scanlan, the former president of Franciscan University, once told the story of how he hesitated to become a Franciscan.
He just knew that if he did, God would send him to Africa to be a missionary, and he hated that idea. He strongly desired to be a Franciscan, but he really did not want to go to Africa.
Finally, when decision time came, he confided in his spiritual director. The director told him not to worry. If God wanted to send him to Africa, God would put Africa in his heart.
In other words, if God’s desire was for him to be in Africa, that would become his deepest desire as well.
"God makes us desire, than grants our desire".
What is your deepest desire? Talk to God about it! Don’t be shy–be bold. He wants you to tell him your feelings, desires, hopes and dreams. Honest, transparent conversation with God is how you match up your desires with his desires for you.
Ask him how you can follow your dream and also grow in relationship with him.
“To pray the rosary for children, and even more, with children, training them from their earliest years to experience this daily “pause for prayer” with the family, is admittedly not the solution to every problem, but it a spiritual aid that should not be underestimated.” - St. John Paul II

THE POWER OF FAITH
When he took his pen and wrote in his letter to the Christian community in Rome that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ” (Rom 10:17), Paul was speaking from experience. He had seen with his own eyes what happened in the city of Lystra.
The account of the miracle that took place in Lystra (Acts 14:8ff) begins with a description of the lame man. The Greek adjective, “adunatos”, is used to describe the feet of the man. This word carries the meaning of powerlessness or inability. Thus, in a literal descriptive sense, we can say that this man was experiencing powerlessness in the area of walking. We are further told that his condition could be traced to the mother’s womb. This would mean his mother never had the joy of watching him take his first steps as a child. All his life, even into adulthood, he had been sitting.
As Paul preached the Word of Christ, this lame man listened. He was not just a passive listener; his total submission to the word that Paul was preaching made him to develop a certain disposition of faith that was apparently visible on his face, for we are told that “Paul looked at him intently and saw that he had the faith to be healed” (Act 14:9). Paul, knowing that all things are possible for one who has faith simply said to him “Get to your feet – stand up”. He jumped and began to walk. The impossible became possible and that area of his life which was powerless became powerful.
Like the lame man in Lystra, we too may be experiencing some powerlessness in certain areas of our lives, and perhaps because of that we are “sitting” at places where we ought to be standing. The Good News is that “things” can change. Faith draws power into powerless situations. The kind of faith that “moves mountains” comes from the Word of God and it feeds on the Word of God. As we yield wholeheartedly to the saving power of the Word of God, we too will hear the words, “Get to your feet – Stand up”, and the impossible will become possible in our lives.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, speak your Word of power into my life and I shall arise and stand on my feet. Amen

Acts 14:21-27; Psalm 144(145):8-13a; Apoc 21:1-5; John 13:31-33,34-35 “Now I am making the whole of creation new.” God proclaims, “Behold I make all things new,” as destruction, death and evil give way to God’s gifts of the New Heavens, the New Earth, and the new Jerusalem, in preparation for the wedding feast of the Lamb, whose bride is the Church, the new people of God. The proclamation inspires hope that is further strengthened by the faith of the present generation on the assurances and promises that our God will dwell amongst us. In Christ, Emmanuel, God dwells among us. Such hope also inspired Jesus’ vision of his glorification in the gospel reading, in view of which he calls us to preserve God’s dwelling among us by living in love. That divine presence sustained the hope of the Early Church so she could persevere in persecution and hardship. Love helps Christ’s disciples to hold forth to the very end in view of what they hope for. That love is modeled after Christ’s love and should be our mark of belonging to him. By loving others, we demonstrate our relationship with Christ. We have no part in Christ if we fail or refuse to love.
Deep in my heart, O Lord, teach me to love like you. Amen.
From brother Dominic

As a Catholic, what gives your life meaning? What do you look forward to every day you wake up?⠀
These questions are really important, and unless you figure out why you actually do the things you do, you'll forever be trapped in this illusion that keeps people going in circles.⠀
What illusion am I talking about? The illusion that keeps people comfortable and content with mediocrity in this world.⠀
Humans aren't just animals. Life, to us, isn't just about food, sex, good grades, a job, and shelter. Life is way more than that.⠀
When Jesus said He was going to give us abundantly life, I'm very sure He didn't want us to just keep eating ourselves to morbid obesity.⠀
I'm very sure life to Him means something completely different.⠀
But the truth is that NOBODY can know the purpose of His life without prayer.⠀
Everyone has a vague idea:⠀
"I'm meant to know God, to love God, to serve God in this life, and to be happy with Him forever in the next."⠀
BRILLIANT! But HOW exactly are you supposed to do that?⠀
How are some people priests and others are married men and they both have a fighting chance to make heaven?⠀
What vocation exactly does God want for you?⠀
Are you just living life "on your own terms" now, or are you focusing on finding out what the will of God is?⠀
Unless you learn to ask God in prayer, and ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to help you, you'll NEVER be able to know the will of God for your life.⠀
It's just impossible... unless some angel is sent to you or something; and even that needs you to have been prayerful.⠀
Pray the rosary, diver. ⠀

_Diario de una conversion_ *El dia más importante de mi vida*. _(20-05-2019)_
___________________________________________

I fixed this post for @selenagomez
Y'all are welcome 😊
Imagine believing that abortion is a right one can inherit. Yes... INHERIT... meaning One ought to be born to have the right to "terminate" the "unborn"
A right contrary to natural law since to begin with
It terminates the fundamental right of life which is THE MOST BASIC right based upon the natural rights.
1) It is wrong to kill innocent human beings
2) The embryo is an innocent human being.
3) Hence it is wrong to kill the embryo.
Let us assume that the "unborn" is not a human. The unborn still has the full potential to be a human. The potentiality to be a human cannot fully be determined by the state since the state in various occasions has failed to determine who is human. Thus this potential to be human alone is reserved to nature. Nature alone does not negate the potentiality of the zygotes to becomes fully human(s). Thus the unborn are human.
I had the great pleasure of celebrating a Paschal Mass for Neophytes yesterday at St Mary’s Cathedral. It was wonderful to welcome back many new Catholics who were baptised into the family of God in their parishes across the Archdiocese of Sydney at Easter. I encourage the neophytes to keep studying the Catholic faith and be zealous in sharing that faith with others. Be the new Pauls and Barnabases for our age! #SydneyCatholics #Catholics #Easter
Daily Devotion: The Lord Will Provide
The Bible in One Year: 2 Kings 13–14; John 2
Today's Bible Reading: Genesis 22:2–14
So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. Genesis 22:14
My anxiety increased throughout the summer between my undergraduate and graduate programs. I love to have everything planned out, and the idea of going out of state and entering graduate school without a job made me uncomfortable. However, a few days before I left my summer job, I was asked to continue working for the company remotely. I accepted and had peace that God was taking care of me.
God provided, but it was in His timing, not mine. Abraham went through a far more difficult situation with his son Isaac. He was asked to take his son and sacrifice him on a mountain (Genesis 22:1–2). Without hesitation, Abraham obeyed and took Isaac there. This three-day journey gave Abraham plenty of time to change his mind, but he didn’t (vv. 3–4).
When Isaac questioned his father, Abraham replied, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering” (v. 8). I wonder if Abraham’s anxiety grew with each knot he tied as he bound Isaac to the altar and with every inch he raised his knife (vv. 9–10). What a relief it must have been when the angel stopped him! (vv. 11–12). God did indeed provide a sacrifice, a ram, caught in the thicket (v. 13). God tested Abraham’s faith, and he proved to be faithful. And at the right time, to the very second, God provided (v. 14).
What answer to prayer has been long in coming? When have you seen God provide at just the right moment?
Thank You, Lord, for Your provision. Help me to trust that You will provide, even when it seems I’ve been waiting for so long.

To he who understands my words and is not overwhelmed by the breath of justice. Heed my calling that in a time of mortal deception, darkness weighs upon the souls of many. That if a man may harken out to me and call “My Lord”. I shall hear his weep that has requested my guidance so long as he is in the spirit of God. Be not dwellers in the homes of deceit but rather truth bearers who hold steadfast in their worship and praise. For it is those who bring alight the foundation and principles of God who will bask in the mightiness and richness of heaven on Earth. That in a man’s last days he shall exist to reconcile with the light with continuance into the spirit. May holy foundation be upon you and I shall remain the stone who has seated you upon my lap upon my throne.
In your relations with others, do you sometimes feel misunderstood? It could be by a close family member, a friend, a coworker, etc. The problem is that the content of your mind, heart, will, intention, and all of your past experiences are what go into directing your actions. And no one understands all of this except God. We do not even fully understand what we do and why we do it most of the time. As a result, it is easy for others to fail to understand us and what takes place within us. It can also be easy for others to misunderstand us and even judge us. This can be hard to take but we must not let it bother us. Instead, we must direct our concern only to that which our Lord thinks. His Mind and His judgment are all that matters. And the misunderstanding we may experience at times from others must be seen as an act of the permissive Will of our Lord, primarily to test and strengthen our Mercy for others.
Can you think of a time in which you recently experienced the misunderstanding of another? If so, rather than letting yourself become angry or hurt over this, allow it to test the depths of your own merciful heart. Accept this humiliation with grace and give thanks to God that He has permitted you to share in the same act of misunderstanding and judgment that He took upon Himself. In this, you are blessed to be invited to share in the distribution of His Divine Mercy.
4200 religions and they all think there right, most control people by instilling fear of the "end of the world" and then use reverse psychology by then promising "ever lasting life". Traumatizing children, there should be a law to protect children from this sort of brain washing, a child at a young age has no choice but to believe what they are being told, by the time they are old enough to realize they are lies it's too late. It's a vicious cycle. Just like the last 300 million years, the earth will continue to be here...but we will be gone and life will go on👍 So be thankful for the one life you've been given and stop expecting more than you deserve, this is a BEAUTIFUL world.🌎 #religion #childabuse #control #brainwashing #fear #newlaws #jw #catholics #buddhist #mormon #politics #war #jesuschrist #depression #fake #wasteoflife #worldly
