That fresh Monday feeling 🙌🏼 Make a goal to prioritise one aspect of your health this week and stick to it! 💕✨ Let’s take on this week together babes! 💋
I attended the 1st ever caregiver-to-cancer-patients support group event held at my sister's hospital this past Saturday to 🌟 support the organizers, 🌟 learn from other caregivers, and 🌟 contribute my 2-cents worth from having been through both sides of the spectrum as both caregiver to my sister who had brain cancer about 6yrs ago & myself as a lymphoma cancer patient 2yrs.
At the age of 28, jumping between hospital, work, and home for a few months was not easy. Being back home after proved more difficult because there were no nurses to help me. I didn't know other caregivers or in the same situation to share my feelings with and it was so tough that I didn't know the signs of being burnt out until my sister's social worker spoke to me and gave me options to care for myself. 🔴 Well now I am more seasoned in handling adverse situations like these; I also know how to take care of myself better as a caregiver while taking care of others. Everybody needs somebody, which is why I really believe in this support group for caregivers to show that we understand each other & are here for each other. So if you know anyone who is a caregiver and needs an outlet, let them know! #caregiver #caregiversupport #singapore

GIVE CAPTION A TRY, IT MIGHT BE WORTH READING.❤️ Okay,
You can tell me that you got pain,
But dare not tell me that you understand mine.
You can tell me that you can assist me, empathise me,
But dare not tell me that you are here to help me or give sympathy for free,
Because you can’t and more over I don’t need any.
You can see me,
The crescent moon like eyebrows don’t illuminate my life anymore,
The tendril like hair don’t add any charm.
I am all surrounded with tubes and syringes,
Severely fallen in a pit and yet hoping to walk.
You can’t understand the pain,
When acid flows through your veins.
You cry about your broken heart,
But here they haven’t even left me in a condition to cry.
They put in me, nearly 100 injections,
Still I am gathering courage to develop a positive vision.
You cry over 1 reason for years together,
I got no years, but just 1000 reasons to cry over.
Tell me whome should I trust?
Someone please come and put my life to cover.
No no, I don’t blame my fate,
I won’t ever develop any hate,
I have no complaints,
Other than, now Not being able to dance in rains.
But now there are just a few days left,
My life is at the mountain cliff,
Waiting for someone to push me hard,
And to enter into heaven or hell, via wildcard.
Each minute for me counts right now,
So I would not cry and just smile for no reason at all.
Its been a beautiful journey,
That now comes to an end.
Still there is a hope,
There are people out there, ready for lives to lend.
Suppose I survive this tragic death of mine,
I will be back with the same happiness and optimistic smile !

This tiny tot, had got his BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) done . Look at the smile, that happiness and that positivity in his eyes. His elder sister, in grade 4th had donated Bone Marrow for him. He Inspires Many other cancer patients. He never cried, always was optimistic until his last breath. He wanted to save lives, but, he was destined to do something much better. He didn’t survive in real, but his example is set forever. Look at his eagerness to be a doctor🤷🏻♀️.

DAY 2 – MON 19TH MARCH: GEELONG TO APOLLO BAY – 115KMS
Today we head south from Geelong, on back roads where possible. At Torquay, we turn onto the stunning Great Ocean Road, and start our journey west. We then follow this road through Anglesea and Lorne. This is an incredibly scenic, but tricky (mostly single riding) ride from Angelsea to Apollo Bay. There are some climbs out of Bells Beach and lots of climbs between Apollo Bay to Lorne. Otherwise the day is fairly flat. We finish the day in Apollo Bay.
Thank you to all those who attended and spoke yesterday. It was truly special to have the chance to meet and chat with you all.
Thank you for inviting and including us in such a beautiful morning of inspiration, support & love (not to mention quite a few tears too). The warmth and care was from everyone was really special. #Repost @its_aboutus

How good does it feel to try something new, open your mind to something you didn’t think would work... and then surprise! It does. 😁 Wall through life full of hope and joy and see what happens. Does your day change? Probably not, but the way you react to your day sure will and this makes all the difference. Don’t get me wrong- sh*t happens and when it does, allow yourself to feel all the feels and then get back to ✨HOPE✨ as soon as you can. We shouldn’t ignore negative emotions, but really feel them, work through them, allow them to take hold for a bit... but always bring yourself back to a state of gratitude, abundance and hope. Otherwise, what are we doing here? Is it worth it? Life is hard, but life is also good. Nothing great ever came easy, so keep working, keep fighting and know that this is only temporary. ✌🏻💖🌿

Meet Brian and Oliver a courageous duo who have raised over £1000 so far for us, we wish the trio the best of luck on their cycle challenge for #Trekstock
to Vietnam after hearing about a young adult they knew being diagnosed with cancer 🇻🇳
Brian says “A friends daughter was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukaemia aged 26. She discovered that although her treatment remained good, once over 25 young adult services cease. She was then in an older adult environment.
I am in my 75th year and following the loss of my wife in August 2015, her carer, Aly aged 52 wanted a challenge, and asked if I could go with her. This I agreed to do, not quite realising what she had in mind!
Then a young trainer, Oliver, aged 27, from the gym overheard us talking and has joined us.
So we are 3 from the Isle of Wight. We leave for #HoChiMinh
on 17th March 2018."
