Should you focus on technique or increasing weight or performing the exercises fast? 🤓
The simple answer is: you cannot be safe in your training if your technique is not good. If you’re executing a squat & your knees lean forward TOO much (given that your body biomechanic is able to do a squat with your weight equally balanced in back), you’re most likely to hurt yourself. If you’re doing a Clean & Jerk without proper technique, your power in the movement will lack. You will spend a lot of energy without seeing a productive application of force. You will get tired more quickly, which will affect how much weight you’re able to put on the bar.
Before adding weight, make sure you’re mastering the technique. You’ll be safer in your movements, see better progression in force, and be more efficient in your movements. This goes for @crossfit
