The life of a business banker is 24/7, dan bagi Andrea, banker muda yang tengah meniti tangga karier di salah satu bank terbesar di Indonesia, rasanya ada 8 hari dalam seminggu. Power lunch, designer suit, golf di Bintan, dinner dengan nasabah, kunjungan ke proyek debitur, sampai tumpukan analisis feasibility calon nasabah, she eats them all. Namun di usianya yang meninjak 29 tahun, Andrea mungkin harus mengubah prioritasnya, karena sekarang ada Adjie, the most eligible bachelor in banking yang akan segera menikahinya. So she should be smiling, right?
Not really.
Welcome to the world of Andrea Siregar, the woman with the most rational job on the planet as she is making the most irrational decisions in her own personal life. 🌷

✨The Light We Lost✨
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️out of 5
This is a story about how our choices affect how life turns out and what is left up to fate. Can one person have everything and can one person be all the things you need & want?
I liked the little hints of how it was going to end up...was he dead? In a coma? Are they together or not? Even when I was pretty sure I knew what would happen I still couldn’t wait to get to the end to find out.
I think Lucy is a controversial character. There will be people who dislike her, but also will relate to her problems and way of thinking. I was a little of both. ✨
Lucy is faced with a life-altering choice. But before she can make her decision, she must start her story--their story--at the very beginning...
Lucy and Gabe meet as seniors at Columbia University on a day that changes both of their lives forever. Together, they decide they want their lives to mean something, to matter. When they meet again a year later, it seems fated--perhaps they'll find life's meaning in each other. But then Gabe becomes a photojournalist assigned to the Middle East and Lucy pursues a career in New York. What follows is a thirteen-year journey of dreams, desires, jealousies, betrayals, and, ultimately, of love. Was it fate that brought them together? Is it choice that has kept them away? Their journey takes Lucy and Gabe continents apart, but never out of each other's hearts.

Hello!!! Today is a wonderful day for me, I hope it’s a wonderful day for you. Me and @kayleejounderwood
are headed to TeenBookCon. I’m super excited because some amazing authors will be there. Also, I’ve read so much these past 2 days. The Becoming of Noah Shaw really disappointed me, and The Cruel Prince was okay. I really loved the world. I’m going to start reading Blood for Blood. Fill me in on what you’re currently reading.
I was in Berlin for a couple of days. The German language has always fascinated me, and I’ve been wanting to visit Germany for quite a long time (it seems) now. ✈️
•There were a few things I noticed whilst travelling around the city. There were quite a few coloured (pink!!!) pipes running across the city which I promptly looked up to see if there was a particular reason as to why these pipes weren’t underground. I thought the pipes looked pretty cool above ground! ~
•Ampelmann - pretty much all around Berlin! 🚦(if only there was an emoji for Ampelmann!) If you don’t know what this is; it’s basically a little man with a hat on which appears on the pedestrian crossing lights. Berlin has quite a few souvenir shops with Ampelmann merch! ~
•There were lots of bikes scattered around the city that you could rent, which was quite good! 🚴♀️ 🚴♂️ ~
•The public transport system is very good, quick and reliable. Lots of options available. Underground, metro, trains, double-decker express trains, bus. This was so handy, as it makes travelling all around the city so easy. 🚞🚇🚃 ~
•There were lots of Dunkin’ Donuts & Starbucks around, and also different cuisines and tasty food everywhere. 🍩☕️ ~
•..Food of the evening was schnitzel! Yum yum. ~
Berlin is a city full of history, museums and culture. I highly recommend! 🇩🇪❤️

Hey guys! Hope your Saturday is going well. I have to work all weekend but at least my cold is going away. 😄
Today, the prompt for #authorappreciationmarch
is Fairytale or Retelling author so I picked Spelled by Betsy Schow. I got this as a Christmas present from my book buddy @candicemk2821
and it sounds hilarious plus I absolutely love the shoes on the cover though I would probably break a leg trying to walk in them 😂 I am posting the synopsis from goodreads below:
Somewhere over the rainbow, all spell is about to break loose…
Fairy Tale Survival Rule No. 32: If you find yourself at the mercy of a wicked witch, sing a romantic ballad and wait for your Prince Charming to save the day.
Yeah, no thanks. Dorthea is completely princed out. Sure being the crown princess of Emerald has its perks—like Glenda Original ball gowns and Hans Christian Louboutin heels. But a forced marriage to the charming brooding prince Kato is so not what Dorthea had in mind for her enchanted future.
Talk about unhappily ever after.
Trying to fix her prince problem by wishing on a (cursed) star royally backfires, leaving the kingdom in chaos and her parents stuck in some place called “Kansas.” Now it’s up to Dorthea and her pixed off prince to find the mysterious Wizard of Oz and undo the curse…before it releases the wickedest witch of all and spells The End for the world of Story. .
This book sounds hilarious and I can’t wait to read it. Retellings are always fun!!!

it’s not ok and it won’t be ok because we can’t live with just okay, and it will come back like thunder in a storm or rain in a cloud and we can’t even face it because eveytime we do we close our eyes. we close them until the end. - myself
Happy Birthday William Morris.
Good morning, everyone! Merci beaucoup to @henryholtbooks
for this copy of Left Bank (Goodreads synopsis below)! I am a huge Francophile and adore all things vintage French! I have exciting news that I will be taking a French class at my university this fall, so I am immensely enjoying this book!
An incandescent group portrait of the midcentury artists and thinkers whose lives, loves, collaborations, and passions were forged against the wartime destruction and postwar rebirth of Paris.
In this fascinating tour of a celebrated city during one of its most trying, significant, and ultimately triumphant eras, Agnes Poirier unspools the stories of the poets, writers, painters, and philosophers whose lives collided to extraordinary effect between 1940 and 1950.
With its balance of clear-eyed historical narrative and irresistible anecdotal charm, Left Bank transports readers to a Paris teeming with passion, drama, and life.

I have to admit that when I saw this week’s #slowsundayclub
photo challenge prompt was ‘This Little Creature’ I just kind of assumed I wouldn’t be taking part. I don’t live near a lot of wildlife and my pets are on the other side of the Atlantic.
Buuuut.... When I sat down to start reading the illustrated copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on my snow day I realised that there were plenty of beautiful illustrations of creatures in this book. This scene is where the Weasley brothers break Harry out and fly him back to the Burrow.
So I found some creatures after all! Happy weekend 😴 #ssc_thislittlecreature
Hayatının gizemli bir ayrıcalığıydı bu efsunlu obje; kimseyle paylaşamadığı, yüreğinin mahzenlerine hapsettiği, onu hayata küstüren hazin bir hikayenin de ortakçısıydı.
“The shape of power is always the same: it is infinite, it is complex, it is forever branching. While it is alive like a tree, it is growing; while it contains itself, it is a multitude. Its directions are unpredictable; it obeys its own laws. No one can observe the acorn and extrapolate each vein in each leaf of the oak crown. The closer you look, the more various it becomes. However complex you think it is, it is more complex than that. Like the rivers to the ocean, like the lightning strike, it is obscene and uncontained.”
Naomi Alderman, The Power
The Power is a completely intriguing and unique read that will have you thinking about it long after you are done reading it. I think everyone who reads it will I have strong opinions about it, I know I did, and because of that I don’t want to influence you before you read it. However, I will leave you with a few words to entice you to pick it up - empowerment, freedom, belonging, corruption, destruction. -

"A professional writer is an amatuer that didn't quit." R.Bach...................................................And here I found myself nineteen months ago— a girl who always quit everything, taking the leap to turn a manuscript into an editor. Terrifying, really. At some point I decided that fear wasn’t going to have the last word. I walked to the edge of that cliff and jumped off. 📝 I remember sitting at my best friend’s house in my t-shirt/sweats/no makeup and pushing “send” on the edge of her bed. I cried until I laughed and then cried some more. Then I yelled, “I wrote a BOOOOK!” and jumped into the lake with sprawling arms and legs. 💦 I was the quitter, not a writer. I mean, so I thought. Yet, there I sat...seeing my very own book done. Complete. I didn’t really determine to write an entire book...I thought I was just an amatuer practicing. 🤷🏻♀️ What could you do if you really had the courage to just jump????? Well, anyhow. Thank you. And I really do mean it. Thank you for seeing value in my words. To everyone who has read this beginner's words, thank you. It means more than I could ever express.

charity shop in Conwy and come out with two hardback for £2. The things you find on a charity shop. Not bad if you ask me.

Who would you, or did you, dedicate your book to?
I dedicated mine to my high school English teacher. I wrote a short story as an assignment in her grade 9 class, and she entered it in a contest. It won for my county and then for my province--and that was really surprising because I thought I was bad at writing at the time. She always wrote really encouraging comments on whatever I wrote. At my graduation we had a moment that felt like it was out of a teen movie where she sought me out to tell me to keep writing. Teenaged me thought, "I want to publish a book entirely just so I can dedicate it to Ms. Nedic." When I got my first copies of Oh Honey I had one put in her mailbox at my old high school.
