“Stop acting like a kid”.
We’re welcomed into Adulthood The-Hard-Way.
With all the duties, responsibilities, and commitments tossed at you. And somewhere in the process we learn to adapt to things, in ways it doesn’t break us. We harden our outsides to preserve our insides. We get so much lost into noticing external change, we forget our insides make us what we truly are.
We are not this skin.
We are not this shoulder that’s bent in obligation.
We Are, what we Were. And we’ll always be the same. 🌻
You like it, notice it, realise it,- or you don’t.
But in case you forget it, be sure to slow down and look around. Look at that group of 6-year-old, carefree nothings playing in the garden, laughing their hearts out for no reason.
For that is who we are deep inside these walls. That is what we will be. .
So well, yes. “Acting like a kid” to me is not a bad thing.
I’m glad, I still know what it means to be one.
