Is anyone else gonna do this? I already signed up and am even going to to try and get a head start on it. I am really wanting to feel healthier and better about myself. Not sure fully yet what I will choose to give up, might be Milk or it might be a sweet or something. But it’s up to each person. The other day I searched #anorexiarecovery and #eatingdisorderrecovery and I was met with a ton of pictures of food. I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled...and it was only pictures of food, nothing else. As I clicked on several accounts, their account only had pictures of food. Here’s the problem I have with excessive pictures of food on recovery accounts. It is good to eat while you’re in recovery. That is necessary and SO important. However, posting a ton of pictures of food on your recovery account doesn’t mean you’re recovering at all. You can post so many pictures of food to prove you’re “eating and recovering,” but posting a picture doesn’t mean you’re eating it or using behaviors...and eating food does not equal recovery. You can have people making you follow your meal plan so you are eating and maintaining your weight, but that doesn’t mean your in real recovery. Eating disorders are MENTAL illnesses, not physical ones. You cannot just eat adequate amounts of food for a long time and be “recovered”, we all know that it’s not magic. You have to have the mentality for anything to really happen. Recovery is about embracing LIFE. It’s about wanting to reclaim your life back, to free yourself from the ed thoughts and become a healthy happy person. It is not “this is what I ate today and it was yummy.” If you’re in real recovery, you’re going to talk about life and your journey to get it back. You’re going to talk about your successes and your struggles, but not let the struggles get the best of you. You are not going to give up. Your recovery account should not just show people what and how much you’re eating, or a “rant” account. If you’re in real recovery, you’re in it to win it and while it’s okay to struggle, that’s not your goal or your purpose of the account. Your account should be to motivate you to recover as well as to motivate/inspire/help others. Now I am not saying it’s never okay to post pictures of food, but do it in moderation. You should also include pictures of yourself and you reclaiming your life back, as well as quotes. ~Continued in comments~

T I M E. T O. B E. R E A L. My client came up to me last week and asked me what I would rate my body out of 10. Without a second thought I gave it 6 I straight thought about all the negatives I felt about my body. This rating was the start of something magical for me. I realised first and foremost the funny thing about perception. Perception of self and what we have of others. . This rating came down to a lot of things and I truly never knew I felt this way about myself until he asked me that question. Sounds naive but I didn’t. I have always been hestitate of what I am wearing. I was always the girl who wore board shorts until I was in year 9 and covered my thighs and stomach as much as possible. . For the past 10 years in the industry I have helped 100s of clients reach amazing health, fitness and lifestyle goals not just physically but also mindset and although I don’t have rippling abs, I have always been committed to my health. I have studied, learnt, applied and always made sure I was looking after my clients. I have taken my body through a fitness model comp, tough mudder events, half marathons, triathlons, fun runs and took my mind through Vipassana (10 days of silence) and even though each event has grown me as a trainer, coach and human. there was still this vein part of me that I felt like if I didn’t have those rippling abs I should not call myself a coach. . There is so much more to coaching then just having rippling abs. A lot more. Health is more much more that. Infact I have known many fitness professionals with rippling abs but yet not well in the inside, have extremely high stress levels, poor quality sleep and struggling mentally . My goal has always to put health first, especially my mental health. . I remember my first year of becoming a PT I was at a party and they took a photo of the group and my legs were crossed and a big dimple laid on my thighs. A guy asked me asked why I had cellulite on my thighs if I was a trainer. From then on I was so self conscious of how much and what I showed of my body. ...... continued in comments

A healthy casserole filled with chicken, broccoli and mushrooms in a light & creamy sauce. 🤤 # ⏰prep time 15 min; cook time 20 min; total 35 min Serve: 6 Kcal: 277 # Ingredients📝 🔸 1 small onion, chopped 🔸1 Tbsp. olive oil 🔸sliced mushrooms 🔸2 cups uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes 🔸3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour 🔸1½ cups fat-free-milk 🔸1 package steam-in-bag broccoli florets 🔸1 (5.3-oz) container fat-free plain Greek yogurt 🔸¼ cup light mayonnaise 🔸¼ tsp salt 🔸¼ tsp. pepper 🔸¾ cup Mexican style cheese blend # Instructions 👩🏽‍🍳👨🏽‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳👨🏽‍🍳 1-Preheat oven to 180º degrees. Spray 2-qt. casserole dish with cooking spray. Cook broccoli in microwave or in boiling water according to directions; set aside. 2-Heat olive oil over medium-high heat, add onion and mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are starting to get tender.
