13. Buy sustainable fish - I don’t talk much about the food in our seas but it’s also a huge issue in our food system as world fish stocks are reducing. In fact, fish stocks in Australian waters depleted by one third in the decade before 2015. One third! This is a result of overfishing, poor aquaculture practices and destructive fishing equipment. Interestingly it’s also due to rising sea temperatures as a result of climate change. The @marineconservation.au
has developed a Sustainable Seafood Guide which provides a traffic light system showing which fish are better choices, which you should eat less and the types you should say no to (link in comments). You can also download it as an App which allows you to search by type of fish. @sustain.table
