Fantastic tempo run session. Aims for today was a warm up and a cool down mile of 8:30 pacing and 4 miles at 7:55 per mile pacing. I tried out a new route today, trying the flattest and straightest route possible in my area of Watford (so it still has a few hills) but tried to look at my watch at least every three-four minutes to see what my pacing was like. Still trying to get the pacing right without relying on my tomtom watch too much and unfortunately I was a bit faster than I thought (stats below). However, running at that pace, I felt strong and felt like it was the pace I was suppose to be doing, how wrong I was! So will take that into my next pacing/tempo session to sort this out.
Still, feeling top of the world this morning, feeling the positive vibes and the sun is out! Great not to wear gloves for the first time this year. With a good training programme from @kineorun
and the guys from Stevenage Striders and others from the running community (you know who you are) giving me their support (plus family, friends etc), I am sure at this moment of time ,I can produce a good performance and result when I run on what is probably the flattest and fastest half-marathon course used in the world so far in Valencia, Spain next weekend. PRIDE! PASSION! AMBITION
