The season tips off tommow! What are you hoping for ?
As a basketball player YOU ask your body to move in a lot of different ways that are beyond what the every day person is doing. That's why YOU have to maintain a consistent strength and conditioning routine. YOU want to build your body to be able to run fast, jump high and do a lot of other things over and over again. To perform at a high level YOU want your body to be flexible, strong and able to move through a full range of motion. Stretching is one of those 'little' things that every player needs to do that may not seem important. Without stretching your muscles will shorten, get tight and leave YOU exposed to a greater risk of injury. YOU only get one body to use to play basketball and to live your life. Treat your body with respect at all times and YOU will benefit on the basketball court. Before every game and before every PRACTICE take the time to warm up properly so that your muscles are loose and flexible and ready to go. If YOU want to become an elite basketball player don't look for shortcuts. The warmup is part of your daily routine so figure out what works for your body and make sure that YOU are doing those things before YOU get on the court and push yourself. TOP 10 PLAYERS IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE
10 - Bradley Beal.
A very, very underrated player. He has developed into the perfect 2nd option for the Wizards and backcourt with John Wall. Washington has done a great job in developing Wall and Beal. Now they just have to build around them. They added Dwight Howard, Austin Rivers and Jeff Green but something's missing. I believe Scott Brooks is a great coach and should keep his job unless they start off the season with a 1-19 record or something else worse. I like their defense, John Wall can match up against any guard defensively. Jeff Green should be able to do a decent job. Howard is getting old but he still has the vert and can do a solid job. Offensively, they should play through their backcourt star duo and have the same system as last year.
Anyways, about Beal. As I mentioned, he's very underrated. Not a lot of people have the Wizards and Bradley Beal under their radar but after this season. They will surprise some people. Beal has been better every season since he was in the league and I expect him to do the same this upcoming season. He's able to score whether or not it's catch & shoot, isolation or whatever play the coach draws up. You can rely on Bradley Beal for your last shot.
EVERY DRAFT CLASS' BIGGEST STEAL
2009 - Stephen Curry.
First UNANIMOUS MVP
Single season record for 3PT made
Single game record for 3PT made
~> Wardell Stephen Curry II
I know that this series says BIGGEST Steals and not BEST Steals but Curry is on the pic because he's just on a different tier compared to DeMar DeRozan, Jeff Teague and Jrue Holiday. He's a Superstar and the other players are either a former All-Star or a Star. This was the draft where Blake Griffin was picked No. 1 and James Harden was picked No. 3. This was also the draft where the Minnesota Timberwolves infamously selected Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn, 2 PGs who were the 5th and 6th pick...Right before Curry himself. ROTY Tyreke Evans went 4th overall. Oh and Hasheem Thabeet...forgot about him, I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Anyways, Curry has had quite the career. Some consider him a top 2 point guard, behind Magic of course. He has been the first unanimous MVP. He has broken A LOT of records, especially 3PT records. He has also kickstarted the Warriors dynasty and is the leader of the team, not KD. It wasn't too long ago when Curry was considered by some to be the greatest player in the league, when he led the Warriors to the best regular season record in history. Those best player talks ended by the end of the Finals though...because of well. 3-1. There were jokes for a full offseason but ended when KD joined them and Curry won his 2nd championship...and 3rd...and more...who knows how many more?
Who's the biggest steal from this class?
