I loved it! I truly did. The experience was just amazing .... but it wasn’t like the plan, everyone said the training is harder but it wasn’t the heat was just overwhelming and seeing so many people unable to run was tough mentally.
But it was brilliant! And I wouldn’t change anything for the world. I was so lucky to be pulled out of that ballot and I felt so privileged to have that place, there were a few ups and downs in training and I really wasn’t very well at one point but I can genuinely say I loved it all.
There are so many people to thank for making it a bloody good experience too from the Nessie crew dragging me to park runs to start it all off, all the amazing people I trained with who were there week to week spurring me on, Auntie Margaret from day 1 to marathon day even keeping me calm when we got stuck on a train for an hour and a half before the start, Jimmy for keeping things normal and completely ignoring my marathon to talk about iron man plans 😂, for all the absolutely awesome support crews who made the world of difference to us all 😀
And to Ash who spent a day with me running round London, keeping me going by showing me the sights & displaying true BRR spirit by never giving up & keeping the faith 🤞
I loved it and I can’t ask for anything more.
