You know those games with stuffed animals in the glass enclosure, with the metal arms that always seem to grab the toy, but then immediately drop it haha?!?! A couple of nights ago, Estella wanted to play that game as we were leaving Steak n Shake. So, I gave her a dollar and allowed her to go play. Less than a minute later, she came to me crying ~ saying she accidentally pressed the button too soon.
As I was consoling her, a well meaning bystander told her, “Those games are *too* hard to win.” Needless to say, that did NOT sit well with me. So, I gave her another dollar and went back to the game with her.
I put the money in, and she carefully maneuvered the arm. She pressed the button, it grabbed the Ninja, and dropped it into the winning compartment.
It was SO beautiful to see her face light up in exhilaration and joy, knowing she COULD. Even the doubting dude gave her a high five as we walked by.
I stopped, looked her in the eyes, and said, “Do NOT ever let ANYONE tell you ANYTHING is too hard for you.” Not only was it a teaching moment for Estella, but also for my inner child and for YOU! *Nothing* is too hard to be, do, have or achieve. You’ve just got to want it and go for it. Do *not* allow other people to place their limitations upon you. Happy Tuesday! ~simplyk♡™ ©2019 🙏🏼💞✨
