PARKRUN 105 COMPLETED - Billericay, Essex, UK Wasn't really up for a Parkrun this morning as my body is so tired this week after all the travel blogging stuff. Still I got out of bed and went to nearby Billericay. However I wasn't really up for a FOUR lap course (I hate laps, still, this doesn't beat Highbury Fields Parkrun in London where it's five laps!). The course is mostly flat with a few uphill bits (nothing to slow down the runners) and there is a part where runners run across a field (the bit I love, I always run faster off-road!) First lap was good, I was doing race pace, second lap was a little bit slower but couldn't beat the time of the first lap and the last two laps I turned it into a steady run as my body told me to "f*** off, I don't want to race today". I was so tired today and I just wanted to sleep for the rest of the morning. Need to pick myself up for next weekend's tasty half marathon in Knebworth House, Hertfordshire, UK. Completed the 5km (3.2 mile) course in 24-04, finishing in 49th out of 184 runners. This was my 56th different course on the Parkrun circuit. Photos: David Hayday from Billericay Parkrun. Thank you. And a huge thank you to all those who made this event possible. #running #fitness #training #workout #parkrunUK #parkrun #stevenage #stevenagestriders #teamdanik #PridePassionAmbition #RoadtoValencia

Fantastic training session with Stevenage Striders on this calm but cold autumn morning in the Hertfordshire countryside. Steady 12.8km (8 miles) run done in 01-22-53 burning 1255kal. #running #fitness #training #workout #stevenage #stevenagestriders #teamdanik #PridePassionAmbition #RoadtoValencia
PARKRUN 104 COMPLETED - Hadleigh, Essex, UK After five hours sleep, bad weather conditions and not feeling the vibes this morning, I could say this was a bad day in the office. However I love this 5km (3.2 mile) course in Hadleigh County Park on the Thames Estuary this morning. Cross-county course, it is. The hardest course I come across (personally), yes it was. There is about a 2.5km of downhill from the start, on gravel paths, with lots of twists and turns. Then there is about a 1km to run near the railway line which looks flat but stuff going, but the remaining 1.5km is all uphill, lots of twists and turns and I have to admit, I walked some of it. I was so tired. The last 100 meters however I overtook a lot of runners who also had no gas in their tanks to do the steepest uphill finish I ever come across (Its 10 times worse than Stevenage finish approach). I was happy to do this, to take in the amazing view over Canvey Island and out towards North Kent and I will do this course again in a few months time when I am a lot stronger and need a good workout. I was drenched afterwards, not because of rain but of sweat. TOUGHEST PARKRUN COURSE YET! Completed the course in 27-29, finishing in 37th out of 103 runners. This was my 55th different course on the parkrun circuit. #running #fitness #training #workout #parkrunUK #parkrun #stevenage #stevenagestriders #teamdanik #PridePassionAmbition #RoadtoValencia
Kenyan hill training in Stevenage this morning (going up and down the same way for a certain length of time). Completed it but struggled to run downhill as my ankles were hurting. Maybe its time to get new shoes. Loved running up hill. Also a 1 mile (1.6km) warm up and cool down either side of the session. #running #fitness #training #workout #parkrunUK #parkrun #stevenage #stevenagestriders #teamdanik #PridePassionAmbition #RoadtoValencia
Steady run completed. 11.2km (7 miles) in 1h-03-17, from Chells in Stevenage to Wilbury Way, Hitchin. Took it easy, got the miles in! #running #fitness #training #workout #parkrunUK #parkrun #stevenage #stevenagestriders #teamdanik #PridePassionAmbition #RoadtoValencia

PARKRUN 103 COMPLETED - Mile End, London, UK Job completed and still on track with getting my fitness and race levels up. My target today was to shave some time of last weekend's 5km (which was 23-53) and despite doing a half marathon (also last weekend), I managed to achieve this. Today I was in Mile End in East London and enjoyed the two lap course around the Mile End Park, with two hills to conquer (but done four times!). Not a bad course which some of it runs alongside the canal. Today was also a speical occasion as the parkrun celebrated their 300th event today. Completed the 5km (3.2 mile) course in 23-42 finishing 133rd out of 356 runners. #running #fitness #training #workout #parkrunUK #parkrun #stevenage #stevenagestriders #teamdanik #PridePassionAmbition #RoadtoValencia
After last nights 8km/5 miles steady/recovery run in Stevenage with the Striders it was back to the gym this morning. Did a HIIT session on rrowing machine, 15 mins on cross- trainer, 10 mins spinning and some weights in my short session. Feeling positive and again, thank you to everyone for your support. Nothing but love. 💗💗 #Workout #training #fitness #StevenageStriders #stevenage #pridepassionambition #running #RoadToValencia #TeamDanik

STEVENAGE HALF MARATHON COMPLETED Job done, stuck to the plan, took it steady and managed to complete the 21km (13.1 mile) in 01-58-19 in 246th out of 467 runners. Pushed myself a little bit between mile 3 and 7 but took it steady for the rest. That wind also play a major factor today. Great to run against my brothers also, big well done to Trevor for leading the Bates 1,2,3. Also a huge thank you to all the support out on the course, from the Striders who came out and messages online beforehand and also members of my old club. Now I got a base to work on, its only four more weeks when I attempt the Hertfordshire Half Marathon in Knebworth. Good work out done....tonight is to relax a little before working on the four weeks of training ahead. #running #fitness #training #workout #stevenage #stevenagestriders #teamdanik #PridePassionAmbition #RoadtoValencia #Stevenagehalf #halfmarathon
